ideaDESIGN is a fast-paced, structured four-day sprint that will take you through the design thinking process to a first proof of concept for your product. ideaDESIGN takes place every three months. Apply now to join the next cohort. Open to Dal students and the Halifax community at large!
This program gives you the hands-on experience to explore basic design thinking concepts, and consider entrepreneurship as a pathway.
Participants will explore the potential of their idea through various exercises and can apply for 6-months of access to ideaHUB’s coworking space, labs and 3-D printers to start exploring an idea.
ideaDESIGN participants
- Curious, eager to learn, and interested in the concept of design thinking
- Have a product idea or design problem they want to solve
- Interested in Innovation and Entrepreneurship as a potential pathway
- Would like to learn more about the Innovation Ecosystem in Atlantic Canada
ideaDESIGN graduates
Participants will gain a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges they will face as future founders in deep tech. You will explore design thinking methodology, using rapid prototyping to develop your first concept. After completing ideaDESIGN, we hope to introduce you to more opportunities to fuel your growth as an early-stage deep tech entrepreneur.
